What Makes News?

JODI ARIAS

Arizona woman charged with killing boyfriend tells jurors she had abusive childhood, contemplated suicide

-fox news

"Throughout the trial, defense attorneys have tried to depict Alexander as a liar and cheat who told Arias and other girlfriends he was a devout Mormon saving sex for marriage, while in reality he was having sex with multiple women, cheating on some with others. Prosecutors have portrayed Arias as a jealous ex-girlfriend who couldn't let go of Alexander and stalked him for months after their breakup until finally snapping and killing him."

-By identifying Alexander as a bunch of crazy things, and then refuting the argument we get the notion that he was in fact not insane, but just a typical guy. However, when the writer goes on to talk about Jodi, he leaves it one sided. She was a jealous girlfriend who one day snapped and killed him. They do not attempt to justify her actions the way they did with Alexander.

Jodi Arias' Domestic Violence Expert Tells Prosecutor to 'Take a Time Out'

-ABC NEWS

"Martinez's aggressive style of questioning experts put up by Arias' defense team paid off when he got psychologist Richard Samuels, who diagnosed Arias with PTSD, to concede that he probably should have readministered a test once it was determined that Arias had lied."

"The effectiveness of Martinez's fiery approach was less certain in dealing with LaViolette, a woman who has spent her life helping domestic violence victims."

"LaViolette lashed out at Martinez as he raised his voice in frustration when she dodged one of his questions."
"If you were in my group, I would ask you to take a time out, Mr. Martinez," she said.

-Through this article ABC news attempts to continuously make Jodi Arias and her defense look guilty. Obviously overwhelmed at Martinez's attempts to break them, Laviolette behaved like a frustrated guilty child would when being punished. Things are not looking so good for Arias.

Is the Jodi Arias jury exhausted?

-hlntv.com

This is a clip from a news broadcast.

-Throughout this video they make Jodi look guilty by saying that her jury is tired. When they say this, they mean that they are tired of fighting. Exhausted of thinking of ways to reclaim her innocence. At certain points in this clip, whenever Jodi's face is on the screen they put slandering words over her. Words like "stalker" or "the worst thing that ever happened to Travis." Also, all over the website, they have different articles about the case with pretty direct titles, such as "How Jodi Killed Travis."
